Invented by Mathmos in 1963

The first and original lava lamp designed by the founder of Mathmos and inventor of lava lamps; Edward Craven Walker in 1963. This range of astro lava lamps are hand polished by British craftsmen who bring the top quality spun aluminium to a high silver shine. Replacement parts for this pop design classic, including bespoke halogen bulbs, are available from Mathmos. 

All Astro's sold from December 2021 onwards will have the GU10 light bulb fitting.
